Places to visit in Nepal

Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the main entrance to visit the Himalayas, and home to ten world heritage sites listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites: the Durbar Squares of Hanuman Dhoka, Patan and Bhaktapur; Swayambhunath and Baudhanath Stupas, Pashupati and Changu Narayan temples. Kathmandu valley is also known as the open museum because you will find a temple with fine art and architecture every corner and side of the road.

Pokhara
Pokhara is half of Nepal's tourism highlights the adventurous activities like Paragliding, zip flyer, bungee jump, and boating. Pokhara is also the gateway to the Annapurna Base Camp, Ghorepani Poon Hill, Khopra Ridge, Muldai View Point, Mardi Himal Base Camp, Upper Mustang, etc. Hiking up to the World Peace Stupa and get a spectacular view of Pokhara Valley with Fewa Lake which reflects the image of Annapurna ranges. Get to the top of Sarangkot viewpoint in early morning hour to see the sunrise and day tour to Bat Caves, Gupteshowar Mahadev Cave, Tashi Palkhel Tibetan Refugee Camp, Davis Fall, and famous Gurkha Soldiers museum and International Mountaineering Museum.

Chitwan
Chitwan is the best place for safari, forest, and wildlife lovers. Get a glimpse of the famous one-horned Rhino and the Royal Bengal Tiger from the well-off elephant back and canoeing through the serene Rapti River which exhibits the Ghariyal species of crocodile. Spend the evening time on the river bank where you will find a series of the restaurant with a pleasant view of the sunset and experience the local Tharu dance.


Lumbini

Lumbini is the Buddhist pilgrimage site that lies in the Terai region of Nepal. renowned for the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha. There are many magnificent and ancient monasteries in this holy place. Other religious monuments and historic sites like the Eternal Peace Flame, the Pagoda of Peace awarded as World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1997.


Mustang

The area is surrounded by mountainous plateaus in the east and west, renowned for its contrasting natural beauty. Barren land with bare hills, impose silver vistas of snow-capped mountains and rich in seasonal colors. Renowned as the home to Jong Gharpu with a 5-storey mountain cave in ancient times was fitted out with 44 rooms, and to Muktinath (ChumigGyatsa), a major settlement which is the holy place and pilgrimage for Buddhists and Hindus.
